PETRONAS TOWERS
With a height of 1,453 feet, one of the world's tallest buildings rise above the skyline of Kuala Lumpur. They are called the Petronas Towers, and, inevitably, they have become the symbols for the astounding growth that has taken place in Malaysia over the last two decades.
KUALA LUMPUR CITY CENTRE (KLCC)
Kuala Lumpur City center refers to the commercial center located in the heart of the city that includes the Petronas Twin Towers, the Suria KLCC Shopping Mall, a park, a 5 - star hotel and prime office blocks. Strategically located in the center of Kuala Lumpur, KLCC and the areas around it are some of the main destinations for shopping, clubbing and business for both locals and internationals.
CHINATOWN (PETALING STREET)
Petaling Street is also known as 'Chee Cheong Kai', which means 'Starch Factory Street', a homage to its roots as a tapioca producing suburb. Today, it is Kuala Lumpur's own China town where you can find all things Chinese from herbs to dry goods and toys to clothes. The entire street is closed to traffic during the afternoons as traders set up stalls to peddle various merchandise, food and electronics.
PUTRAJAYA
The latest Federal Territory in Malaysia, Putrajaya is a sprawling city with scenic landmarks and excellent recreational facilities.
GENTING INDOOR THEME PARK
Like a moment suspended in the time, you are transported to a world where laughter and revelry abound. You will surely cherish every single moment that you spend here.
BATU CAVES
Batu Caves is a major tourist attraction in Malaysia and most of the tour operators ensure that you stop at Batu caves en - route to Genting or while coming back. There is a huge Shiv (a hindu god) idol in front of the caves. The insides of the caves is ok. It could have been better if they had not built so many temples inside. I am sure without the temples, the place would have looked awesome.
Climbing the 170 odd stairs is no big deal but beware of hundreds of monkeys who will pounce on anything edible in your hand. If you have small kids with you, be extra careful. On the left you can see a picture of the shiv idol and behind the idol, stairs taking you up to the entrance of Batu caves. The best part about Batu caves are the few shops/restaurants near the parking area which serve South Indian food at very
reasonable prices. If you want to have reasonably good (not so spicy) and pretty cheap Indian food, do dig in.
